Job description
Lund University announces a tenure track position as associate senior lecturer in business administration, specializing in research policy. It aims, long term, at securing and developing research and teaching competence, within research policy but also other subjects within business administration.

The full time position is temporary (four years), but with a possibility after application to be promoted to a permanent position as senior lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, Lund University School of Economics and Management.

Terms of employment
Applicants must be experienced and show competence within the subject area business administration and research policy. The position will include research (70%) and teaching (30%) at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels within the entire area of business administration, as well as administrative duties. The holder of the position is expected to contribute to the department’s external activities.

Qualification on requirements
To qualify for the position, applicants must have received a PhD within the subject area business administration, or equivalent scientific competence, no more than seven years before the last day of application. Applicants are also required to have demonstrated pedagogical skills. Ability to conduct and develop research of high quality in the field of research policy along with strong pedagogical ability within the field of business administration form the basis for the position.

Preference will be given to the candidate who is most qualified in the subject area of collaboration in research and innovation, with demonstrated knowledge of quantitative research methods. Moreover, the ability to collaborate with the surrounding academic and civil society and to inform about research will be considered. The position is established as part of a research programme on collaboration in education, research and innovation, funded by Sweden’s innovation agency Vinnova.

The School of Economics and Management aims at a balance between research and teaching. Equal importance will therefore be given to the scholarly and pedagogical skills when assessing the applicants. The capacity to teach on subjects related to business administration, on bachelor as well as advanced level, is an important criterion. Outreach activityisalsotakenintoaccount.

Pedagogical qualifications include experience from teaching in areas related to the subject area of the announced position.

It will be taken into consideration how the applicant's skills, abilities and personal suitability complement and strengthen research and teaching at the School of Economics and Management.

Promotion to Senior Lecturer
After application, an associate senior lecturer could be promoted to a permanent position as senior lecturer, if he or she is qualified for such an appointment and also assessed as adequate according to current eligibility and assessment criteria for promotion to senior lecturer (see below). An associate senior lecturer can only apply for promotion once. The application should be submitted to Lund University School of Economics and Management no later than three years and six months of employment.

Eligibility and assessment criteria for promotion
Eligibility for a permanent position as senior lecturer includes:
- Scholarly skills (with progression)
- Pedagogical skills (with progression)
- Completion of at least five weeks training in teaching and learning in higher education

Other requirements for promotion to senior lecturer
- High level of scholarly competence relevant to the subject and the working tasks of the position. This includes 4 publications accepted during the employment period in journals on the so-called Norwegian List, whereof at least 3 in international academic journals of good quality.
- High level of pedagogical competence, where special weight will be given to the documented ability to conduct teaching and supervision at different levels, together with an ability to reflect on your own pedagogical development. Course evaluations are expected to be part of the documentation of pedagogical competence.
- Progression in the academic leadership through increased ability to develop, lead and conduct education and research and/or shown interest in common departmental tasks.
- Ability to attract external funding.
- Strong ability to interact with the surrounding society and inform about research.
- Other personal abilities of importance to fulfil the working tasks in a satisfactory way.
